Shirley was the son of Lewis Comley and Nora Ann Osborne. He died of septicemia at St. Joseph's Hospital at the age of 18.

Shirley Comley, 18 year old, son of Mr. & Mrs. Lewis Comley, Woodford County died today, at St. Joseph's hospital here.
Besides his parents, he is survived by four brothers, Everett, Lyman, Raymond and Paul; two sisters, Mrs. D. F. Rhodes and Martha Comley.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the C. A. Barker Funeral home, the Rev J. W. Porter officiating. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery.
