Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the Oaks and Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia for Carl Roe of Columbia, who died Thursday (May 10, 1990) in the Bel-Air Heath Care Center in Columbia. He was 84.
The Rev. Frank Smith officiated. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
A native of Lincoln County, he was a veteran of World War II, retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Daisy Simms Roe; one brother Fred Roe; two step-brothers, George and David Roe.
