Donald H. Headley, resident of Chestnut Hill Apartments, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012, in Donnell House, Washington.

He was born April 30, 1926, in Greene County, son of the late Odie C. and Maxine Fox Headley.

Mr. Headley was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a past member of Holy Name Society. He also was a member of AARP, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and American Postal Workers Union.

He was a graduate of Clairton High School and Penn Commercial College.

During World War II, he served in the Naval Amphibious Forces in the South Pacific Theater.

Mr. Headley worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years.

On December 14, 1946, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, he married Bernice Keeling, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Lawrence L. (Susan) Headley of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Dana Michele Lindauer of San Antonio, Texas, Lauren Sellitti of North Port, Fla., Eric Headley of Dothan, Ala., and Stacey Martin of Huntington Beach, Calif.; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Private interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
