Bart Sullivan founded a law practice in Pompano Beach in 1948. He was one of two lawyers practicing north of Broward Blvd. in Broward County at that time. Mr. Sullivan of Lighthouse Point died friday at the Sloan-Kettering Institute in New York City following an extended illness. He was 74. He had attended Holy Cross College in Worcester, Mass., and received his law degree from Boston University. During WW II he served a a major with the Army Air Corps as an inspector in the Criminal Investigation Division. He was a member of the Sterling McClelland American Legion Post, the Forty and Eight and was a charter member of the P. B. Elks Club, the American Bar Assn. and the Broward Bar Assn. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was the past president of the P. B. Chamber of Commerce and past president of the N. Broward Bar Assn. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Gordon of Athens, Ga; a son, Michael of Lighthouse Point; and a sister, Mrs. Howard Newman of N. Brookfield, Mass. A Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Wednesday at 1 pm. Friends may call at the Kraeer Sample Road Funeral Home and burial will bin Forest Lawn North in Pompano Beach.
