Wayne Burdette Tedrow of Aberdeen died Wednesday, January 25, at River Walk Rehabilitation Center in Havre de Grace, MD. He was 91.
He was born in Aleppo, PA. He was the son of the late Albert and Eva (Antill) Tedrow and the husband of the late Betty (Todd) Tedrow for 60 years.
In World War II, he participated in the "Battle of the Bulge" while serving with the 69th Infantry Division. After retiring with over 20 years of military service with the Army, he worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground as an Instructor in the Allied Trades Division of the US Army Ordnance School until his retirement.
Mr. Tedrow is survived by his sons, Marvin Tedrow and his wife Sandra of Aberdeen, Larry Tedrow and his wife Sandra of Glenelg, MD. Grandsons, Todd Tedrow and his wife Andrea, Matt Tedrow and his wife Lindsay and his sisters, Aldene Wright of WV, Phyllis Grob and husband Bill of WV.
In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Marjorie Tedrow and Helen Chambers Bungard and a brother, Doyle Tedrow.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 30 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Bob Clipp at Grace United Methodist Church on Tuesday, January 31, at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Grace United Methodist Church, 110 W. BelAir Ave., Aberdeen, MD 21001 or to the March of Dimes, 2120 Washington Blvd., Suite 425, Arlington, VA 22204
Pallbearers are Larry Tedrow, Marvin Tedrow, Todd Tedrow, Matt Tedrow, Jim Smith, Don Curry and Rick Woppert.
