He was born in Aitkin to Russell L. and Theresa N. (Hill). Ron was a longtime resident of Proctor and Duluth. He was a welder for many years and a member of the Air National Guard.
Ron was a member of University United Methodist Church, NRA and United Northern Sportsman. He loved to hunt and paint pictures. He was a craftsman, handyman and a musician. He loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are a son, Ronald Jr.; daughters Terri Barlow, Janine (Michael) McGahee, and Debbie Tector; a sister, Sharon (Robert) Mickolajak; and 10 grandchildren.
Inurnment will be in Oneota Cemetery.
