Ervin O. Morris
NOBLESVILLE – Ervin O. "Bud" Morris, 81, Noblesville and formerly of Elwood, passed away Feb. 4, 2012 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis following an extended illness.
Ervin was born Sept. 23, 1930 in Jackson County, to Herman O. Morris and Esther G. (Coe) Ferguson.
He married Linda Durr June 4, 1955. She survives.
He retired from Textron Corporation in Elwood and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army.
Ervin is survived by his wife, Linda Morris of Noblesville; two sons, David and Rob Morris, both of Elwood; three daughters, Lorri and husband, Jay Krull of Middlebury, Lisa Wisher Wisely of Noblesville and Sharon and husband, Ralph Clark of El Dorado Hills, Calif.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Burton of Plymouth, Ann Cunningham of Margate, Fla. and Carolyn Ferguson of Aburn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Albert Ferguson and a son, Larry Morris.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eric Gale officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the United States Army and the Elwood VFW Post 5782.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation.
