French Nobility. Louis Marie Félicité de Bourbon, son of Louis Jean Marie de Bourbon, Duke of Penthièvre, and his wife Maria Teresa Felicitas d'Este, was born at the Château de Rambouillet. He was a descendant of King Louis XIV of France and his mistress Madame de Montespan on both sides of his family. His father was their grandson, and his mother was their great-granddaughter. However, his mother died while giving birth to him and Louis died soon thereafter. His initial site of interment was the village church of Saint Lubin in Rambouillet. He was interred two more times; his final resting place was the Chapelle Royale de Dreux. His sister Marie Adélaïde built the chapel, while his nephew Louis Philippe, King of the French, renovated and renamed it.
