George William Young, Enlisted on 7/19/1861 as Asst. Surgeon. On 7/19/1861 he was commissioned into Field & Staff GA 14th Infantry. He died of disease (Typhoid fever) on 9/24/1861 at Pocahontas, WV,. (at that time West Virginia was still a part of Virginia)
