He was born January 11, 1933 in Ellinwood, Kansas, the son of the late Earl and Opal (McMannama) Cox.
Richard was a retired truck driver for Capital Warehousing in Louisville, Kentucky, a member of the Midland United Methodist Church in Hutchinson, Kansas and served during the Korea & Vietnam Wars in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Cox; a son: Richard Cox, Jr. & several siblings.
Survivors include two sons: Delosse & Victor Cox both of Hutchinson, Kansas; two daughters: Tamara Jones of Sterling, Kansas & Teresa Cox of Hutchinson, Kansas. Richard is also survived by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Cremation was Chosen with a service at a later date.
