Canadian statesman. A native of Princeville (Québec), he settled in Shawinigan in 1899. He began as a baker, then became a merchant of hay and grains. He served as alderman on the town council of Shawinigan, in 1901 and 1902, then from 1909 to 1914. He tried unsuccesfully to be elected as a Liberal representative for the Saint-Maurice district in the by-election of October 19, 1920. He won this same bid four years later, in the by-election of November 5, 1924. He was defeated in 1927. In 1929, he was appointed perceptor for the provincial Income for the district of Shawinigan. He took charge also of the provincial motor vehicles office in Shawinigan. He passed away in Shawinigan.
