Joseph was born to Harry & Bernice (Wadleigh) Jacquelin on December 18, 1920. He had 2 sisters; Doris & Virginia, & 3 brothers; Lawrence, Gene, and half-brother Ernest (Jack Reynolds).

A Marine, he was a Veteran who served his country in WWII.
He served for a period of time aboard the USS Eldridge, the WWII Battleship which became infamous as the disappearing ship of the 'Philadelphia Experiment'.
Joseph had 2 children; Anita (Jacquelin) Newton of Las Vegas, NV & Joseph Jr, last known to be in the Philadelphia, PA area.
