Lawrence was born to Harry L. & Bernice (Wadleigh) Jacquelin, July 13,1923. He had 2 sisters; Doris & Virginia & 3 brothers; Joseph, Gene & half-brother Ernest (Jack Reynolds).

Larry married Irene who preceeded him in death. He left a son through a previous marriage; David Jacquelin. He left grandchildren.

Larry, a former NASCAR driver from New Haven, CT., was an avid fan of car racing and a stunt driver with cars and motorcycles -He competed in one Nextel Cup Series event in his career. That came in 1952, when he raced at Langhorne. Starting 39th in the forty-four car field, he fell out early due to overheating problems. Shortly after, Larry was struck with Polio which was nearly fatal to him. As Larry had a fighting spirit, he eventually recovered, but not fully. In his later years, the lingering effects of Polio amplified and finally took his life.

Lawrence is buried beside his wife Irene & next to his parents Harry & Bernice. His sister Doris' final resting place is nearby. He was predeceased by his half-brother Ernest 'Jack' Reynolds of Pelham, NY and brother Joseph Jacquelin of Philadelphia.
