Addition to "Parents" of Virginia Lee Davis:
Mother: Nellie M. Shaughnessy (abt 1891/1894 - abt 1925)
My grandfather, Frederick Floyd Davis, told me that Nellie died on their ranch at Mountain Grove, Mo from Botulism. She was buried on the ranch property in an unmarked grave. Fred said this was common practice in those days. My mother, Virginia Lee Davis, said she was nine years old at the time of Nell's death which would make Nell's DOD about 1925. The 1895 U.S. federal census enumerated on March 1, 1895 reports Nell as age 4. However, the 1910 U.S. federal census enumerated on 18 Apr 1910 reports Nell as age 16. We have, therefor, conflicting dates of birth.
