Franklin News-Herald, Tuesday, Nov 21 1911:
Bethel News, Nov. 20 -- We were shocked to hear of the death on Friday of David Hill at his home near Denver, CO. He had not been well for some time, but the last word received from them was that they were all well. The family left here a years ago and located in Oklahoma, later going to Denver. We understand the remains will be brought back to Hill City for burial.

Franklin News-Herald, Wednesday, Nov 22 1911:
Mason News, Nov. 20 -- The sad news of the death of David Hill, former resident of this place, came on Sunday. He and his family sold out and left here for Oklahoma three years ago for the benefit of his health. For some time he seemed better, but the intense heat in Oklahoma last summer seemed too much for him, and they tried Denver, CO, where he seemed to gain a little, but the gain was but for a short time.
He leaved a wife and two children, Earl and Leola, the latter the wife of Benjamin Silvers.
The family have the sympathy of all.
The remains will be brought to Hill City for burial in the family plot.
