Abilene, KS (AP) "Former President Dwight D. Eisenhower brought the exhumed body of his first-born son to Abilene Friday night for re-burial in the family cemetery plot. Eisenhower was accompanied by his brother, Milton. The first-born child, Doud Dwight Eisenhower, died of scarlet fever in 1921 at the age of 3. He had been buried in a Denver, Colo. cemetery. The recommital service was private."
