COURIER-JOURNAL OBITUARY - 02/01/2011 - WERKMAN, LILLIAN MARIE, 91, of Louisville, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 at Flaget Hospital in Bardstown, KY. She was the former Lillian Wahler, a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hudson P. and Alleen Pfanmiller Wahler. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, John B. Werkman, Jr.; a son, John H. Werkman (Geri); granddaughters, Diana Werkman, Julie Gross (Bill), Laura Peterson (Brad) and Erica Atkinson (Scott) as well as three great-grandchildren. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, Bardstown Road and Lacashire Avenue, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 28 p.m. Wednesday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Raphael School in her memory.
