W.S., son of William and Sarah Peach was born February 7, 1859 near Stockton, Missouri, not far from where he died on January 17, 1942, being 82 years, 11 months and 10 days of age. One sister, Mrs. Louisa Foster of Kansas City survives him. One sister, Mrs. Wm Netherton and a brother James A., preceded him in death.

He was united in marriage to Eliza J. Holmes on November 8, 1887, who passed away on June 22, 1935. To this union four children were born; one daughter, Mrs. Boyd Rosenbaum who died on December 23, 1940, two daughters, Mrs. Lula M. Routh and Dulcie I. Rosenbaum and son Russell B. Peach, survive him of the home address.

He spent his entire life in the county as a farmer until several years ago when his health forced him to give up his active life. Since that time he has made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Rosenbaum. He has enjoyed the best of health for one of his age, although the last two years he had suffered a few heart attacks.

He was a kind, loving father. In his younger days had seen many hard ships, but was one that never complained and was ever mindful of others trying to help in time of need. He was a man that made honesty his best policy, and made friends in all walks of life. Altho he was not feeling extra well his death came as a great shock. He loved life and his greatest enjoyment was reading and discussing with his friends the latest news. He loved to read the Bible and remarked just a few days before passing away that he knew he was failing and was ready to go and believed it would be to a better world than this -- and where he will never grow old nor have to suffer and die. He will be greatly missed by his children and his many friends.

He leaves to mourn their loss one sister, several nephews and nieces, three children, twelve grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

A precious one from us is gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our hearts
That never can be filled.

Funeral services were conducted by Bro. Dick of Eldorado Springs at Gum Springs Church, six grandsons acting as pall bearers. His body was laid to rest beside his wife in the cemetery at that place. Davis Funeral in charge.
