Mildred Leona DeWalt, 94 of Buena Vista, CO. passed away on March 17, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Mildred was born on Sept. 5, 1917 to Chester Lee Graham and Nancy Lora Crow Graham at Moore, OK. She attended high school in Calumet, OK. where she met her future husband of 68 years, Harold G. DeWalt married on Sept. 25, 1937 at Geary OK. They made their home for many years outside of El Reno, OK. where they engaged in farming. In 1953 Harold came to Climax mine to work and moved his family to Buena Vista. Mildred worked at numerous restaurants while raising her family. She loved her flowers and garden and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed telling stories of her life and adventures traveling in a covered wagon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold and seven siblings. She is survived by her children, Clara Louise Foreman, Buena Vista, CO., Harold L. (Sue) DeWalt, Nathrop, CO., Kenneth W. DeWalt, Buena Vista, CO. seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Friday March 23, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Valley Fellowship Church in Buena Vista, CO. Viewing will be Thursday from 6-9:00 P.M. March 22 at Runyan Mortuary.
