Ralph J. "Dick" Driscoll, 81, died Friday at the family residence, 1801 Gilman Ave. He was born in Washington Township, and lived there until moving to Muncie in 1927. He served in the Army during World War I.

Mr. Driscoll was a painter with several local contractors prior to his retirement. He was a member of Painters Local 1033, Delaware Post 19, American Legion, and Veterans of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, Beatrice; two daughters, Mrs. William (Lillian) Gibson, Muncie, and Mrs. Orland (ALbert) Ellis, New Carlisle, Ohio; four sons, Ralph Jr., Ned, and Max, all of Muncie, and Jerry, Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Cunningham, Gaston, and Mrs. Fern Taylor, in Michigan; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be in Meeks Mortuary at 11:30 a.m. Monday with Rev. Wayne Janney officiating. Interment will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday and before the services Monday.
