Patrick Emmett Quinn, 60, of San Luis Obispo, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012, in San Luis Obispo.

He was born in January 1952 in Spokane, Wash., the younger son of William E. Quinn, M.D. and Mary Jane (Zigrang) Quinn.

Patrick grew up in the West Covina, Calif., area and was a hardworking man who lived a simple life.

As a young boy, he often spent time fishing the waters off Newport Beach on his father's boat. He spent many happy times on Balboa Island as well as Catalina Island.

Patrick loved the greater area of San Luis Obispo and considered it one of the prettiest places in the world.

Some of his many passions were old cars, politics and the music of the 70s. He was quite gifted artistically and a coupling of his sense of humor along with his artistry culminated in some of the most fabulous cartoon drawings. He thoroughly enjoyed engaging someone in hours' long conversations about one current event or another. He loved VW busses, having owned several and seeing Pat driving down the road in his VW bus was the picture of the quintessential "hippie". If he wasn't at work you could often find him at his shop tinkering with car parts.

He was a kind, good-hearted and unselfish man, who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. With his unique sense of humor he put a smile on many peoples faces.

Patrick is survived by his older brother Michael and his sisters, *Maureen and Charlene as well as three nephews and four nieces.

Patrick, we will forever miss that certain smile and glint in your eye. You are loved.

*Just 8 short months after Patrick's passing, he has been joined in Heaven by his sister, Maureen.
