Services for Leatha Mae Kittrell, 91, of Marietta, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, in the Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel, Gainesville, Texas, with the Rev. Gary Way, minister of Fairview Avenue Baptist Church, Gainesville, officiating. Mrs. Kittrell was born May 19, 1912, in Sivells Bend, Texas, the daughter of Oliver and Maudie Bean Busby. She died Sunday, July 6, 2003, at Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta.She and James Daniel Kittrell were married January 22, 1932, in Love County. Mrs. Kittrell was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Rebecca Kittrell of Montague, Texas, and Herman and JoAnn Kittrell of Chico, Texas; five daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Norman Dubios of Lubbock, Texas, Ruth and Charlie Robinson of Lake Kiowa, Texas, Sue LuJune Cavitt of Marietta, Carolyn and Mike Hogan of Gainesville, and Gelema and A.C. Hembree of Marietta; a sister, Lavna Elizabeth Coonrod of Marietta; 39 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.Mrs. Kittrell was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Kittrell in 1972; two sons, Clarence Calvin Kittrell in 1997 and Larry Don Kittrell in 1968; and three daughters, Goldie Odell Glidewell in 1998, Edith Kittrell and Sylvia Kittrell.Pallbearers were Larry Kittrell, Herman Kittrell, David Kittrell, C.J. Kittrell, James Kittrell and Charles Kittrell.Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
