Canton – Catherine L. Pecher, 85, of Canton, passed away at 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born on August 5, 1926 in Wheaton, IL to Leo and Rena (Hines) Chapai. She married Joseph R. Pecher on March 3, 1946 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Terry Rae Bradford of Highland, IL; three sisters, Nell Pennington of Laverne, CA, Francis Munro of Bentonville, AR, and Audry Davis of East Peoria; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Judy Anne Pero; four brothers, Leo, Olen, Marna, and Rex; and one grandchild.
Catherine was retired from Wal-Mart, where she worked in the Shoe Department. She was very artistic and enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, and calligraphy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, with Pastor Greg White officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
