Daughter of Edward Lloyd HALL & Ida Mae WALMSLEY. Wife of Charlie K WILSON. Her nickname was "Doll". Ruby was the mother of Charles Kemmons Wilson, founder of the Holiday Inn hotel chain. Beginning in 1920, Ruby began subtracting years from her age for the census takers. She was actually born in August 1890. In 1900 she was age 9. In 1910 she was age 19. But in 1920, she was only 27, and in 1930, she was 36. She also continued the exercise in vanity for the Social Security Administration, and now I see, carried it to her grave as well. Her grave marker has the incorrect birth date of Aug 9, 1895. Way to go Ruby!
