Professional Hockey Player. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Conacher was the younger brother of famed hockey players, Lionel and Charlie Conacher. At 6'01", and 175lbs, he played the position of Left Wing for teams in the National Hockey League (NHL), SSHL, NSDHL, NOHA, OHASR, and the OHAJR. Conacher played for the West Toronto Nationals from 1933 to 1936, Toronto Dominions from 1936 to 1937, Kirkland Lake Hargreaves from 1937 to 1938, Saskatoon RCAF from 1942 to 1943, and the Dartmouth RCAF from 1944 to 1945, and the Millward-St.George RCAF from 1944 to 1945, Boston Bruins from 1938 to 1942, and 1945 to 1946, Detroit Red Wings from 1946 to 1947, and the Chicago Blackhawks from 1947 to 1952. Conacher eas the recipient of the Art Ross Trophy for 1948 to 1949. He passed away in Victoria, British Columbia, in December 1984 at the age of 67. Conacher was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame as a Player in 1998.
