Silent-screen actress. Haver got her start as a Mack Sennett bathing beauty. She began work in 1917 and was soon a top-line comic. Among her best roles were ‘Roxy Hart’ in the first film version of “Chicago” (1927) and as ‘Shanghai Mabel’ in “What Price Glory?” (1927). Haver retired in 1929 to marry the New York millionaire William Seeman. Sadly, she committed suicide (overdose of barbiturates).
