George Willis Wolfren was born in Truxillo, Colon, Honduras, on 4 July 1888. He arrived in the United States on 22 December 1898. He found his way to Chico, Butte, California, USA. He was inducted into the US Army on 2 April 1918 and sent to Camp Lewis in Washington for training. He applied for naturalization on 8 April 1918 while at Camp Lewis. He departed New York for France with Company E, 361st Infantry on 6 July 1918. For a while, he was listed as MIA. However, he departed France from St. Nazaire on 30 Jan 1919 on board the ship "Princess Motoika". He lived most of the rest of his life in San Francisco, San Franciso, California, working as a mechanic and then as an electrician. In 1942, he was 5'3" tall, 182 pounds, with blue eyes, gray hair and a ruddy complexion. The fingers on both hands were stiff. He died in San Francisco on 29 January 1979.
