The youngest of Earl & Louise Scruggs' three sons, Steve Scruggs was also a talented musician. As a teenager, Steve Scruggs was part of his father's band The Earl Scruggs Revue, along with his brothers Gary and Randy. He later played saxophone and keyboards in the bands of T. Graham Brown and Lee Greenwood.
