A sad and shocking accident resulted in the almost immediate death of Perry Green on jan 28, 1905. Mr Green, who was superintendent of the Stissing Lake Farm, had shoveled snow so as to get a team to this village, harnessed the horses and was ready to start. Mrs Green & Frank Husted were in the sleight, and Mr Green had raised one foot to step into the sleigh when his foot slipped. He fell to the ice, fracturing his skull and breakig his neck. Mr Green came here from the town of Washington a number of years ago, and was a man who had the respect of all. He was an enthusiastic Mason and had been for 40 years. He is survived by his wife, one son, C.V. Green of the New York Custom House; three daughters, Mrs James Call, Misses Bertha and Bessie Green
