"Z. T. Bentley passed away at 2 o'clock this morning at his home on South Williams street. He had been in bad health for a long time. He is survived by three daughters, Miss Bettie Bentley of Moberly, and Mrs. Alex Shaw and Mrs. Ed Rais, both near Huntsville; one son, Forrest Bentley of near Huntsville; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Callahan of Moberly, Mrs. John Dickerson and Mrs. Joe Rains, all of Huntsville; and one brother, K. M. Bentley of Cincinnati.

The funeral service will be held at Immanuel Baptist church at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon conducted by Rev. F. M. Baker. The interment will be made at Mt Salem [sic], near Excello, under the auspices of the Odd Fellows." Moberly Evening Democrat (Moberly, Missouri), October 9, 1923
