The late Lawrence A. Rehanek (Class of '28) was a lifelong donor and friend to the School of Pharmacy and the University of Pittsburgh. An avid football fan, he attended every Pitt home football game. The one-time owner of a prescription drug store in Mount Pleasant, Rehanek had to sell the store due to health complications after being struck by lightening on a golf course. Rehanek went into the banking business and eventually became president of Mount Pleasant State Bank. Dedicated to his community, he was chairman of the Fnance Committee of the Westmoreland County Mental Health and Retardation Board and director of the Jacob Justice Free Dispensary, The Rehabilitation Center and Workshop of Western Pennsylvania and the Westmoreland County Children's Home.
