EDITH WHIPKEY DIED MONDAY
Edith M. Whipkey, 78, of 54 North Ave., Cameron, died Monday at home. She was born May 20, 1918 in Crabapple, Pa.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Cameron. She was a retired school teacher who taught for 21 years in Marshall County. Mrs. Whipkey was a private piano teacher, past president of Cameron Womens Club and District Vice President of Northern District Womens Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip D. Whipkey in 1986, her parents William Nelson and Lucy Florence Durbin Yost and five brothers.
Surviving are two daughters Marsha A. Whipkey of Lake Havasu, AZ., Mrs. Charles (Marilyn) Clark of Cameron, one sister, Florence (Flo) Kitzman of Lake Havasu, AZ., several nieces and nephews, 3 grandchildren Merritt M. Menefee of Chandler, AZ., Eddie C. Clark and Kiley Lynn Clark both of Cameron.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial services will be held at the First Christian Church, Cameron at a time to be announced.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research, Mary Babb Randolf, c/o Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Also Valley Hospice, 137 Waddles Run Rd., Wheeling, WV, 26003.
