Hi Would you mind adding this info to Thomas' page since he has a lot of relatives with similar names? He married one of my relatives and I studied a lot of records to get him straight. It may help future researchers who are confused. Thanks!!
In 1846, Thomas married Lucinda Melton in Twiggs County GA and they had 4 children: William, Martha "Mattie", Louisa and Thomas Jr. (who died as a baby in 1853). Lucinda died in 1854.
Before the 1860 census, he married Prudence Averett (or Everitt), the widow of James Averett in Twiggs County, GA.
Her two prior children were Robert and James Henry Averett. They moved to the Brooks County, Thomas County area but she died before 1867 and never had kids with Thomas.
In 1867, in Brooks County, GA, he married Francis Reiser Denmark. Their children were: Ann, Briggs, Harriett, Clifford, Julia S., and Thomas Jr. (the second son named this, born in 1882).
Although he is buried in Florida, it could have been GA at the time because Ga and FL had a long boundary dispute period. He had several relatives also named Thomas Arrington, including a cousin born in 1839.
