EMMA'S DATE OF BIRTH ON HER HEADSTONE IS NOT CORRECT.
SHE WAS BORN SEPT. 30, 1858 in GRABOW, STETTIN, POMMERN, PRUSSIA (GERMANY) AND WAS BAPTIZED ON OCT. 19, 1858, IN ST. STEPHAN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH IN GRABOW, STETTIN, POMMERN, PRUSSIA. HER HUSBAND FREDINAND DATE OF BIRTH IS NOT CORRECT, THE U.S. CENSUS SHOW 1840 AND THE CIVIL WAR DRAFT SHOW THE BIRTH DATE AS 1839.
Emma, wife of Ferdinand Foster, the couple were married about 1887 and had 2 sons and 3 daughters and 1 infant child who's name is unknown as well as the sex of the child, all of their children were born in Chicago, Ill. Franklin W. Foster and Aolph Hermann Foster,(AKA/Arthur H. Foster/Arthur H. Lane) daughters, Gracie, Bertha, Henrietta and Baby Foster, name unknown . They had 6 grand children, Fredinand "Fred" Foster son of Franklin and Hattie Aolph Hermann Foster aka/Arthur H. Foster wife Lillian Sherman who had 3 children Franklin, George & Emma, aka/Arthur H. Foster changed his name to Arthur H,Lane and moved to Colorado in the 1920's his Second marriage in Denver, Colorado to Henrietta K. Miller they had 2 children, a son Arthur H. Lane Jr.(deceased) and a daughter Betty L. Lane-Gonzales, 7 great grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandcildren, 4 great-great-great grandchildren.
Emma Foster supported herself by renting rooms out and her late husbands Civil War Pension. She was born in (Prussia)now Germany and died in Chicago Ill. and is buried in Rosehill Cemetery & Mausoleum, Chicago, Ill. as her late husband Ferdinand and 4 of her 6 children are in a family plot in Rosehill Cemetery.
