Mr. Balfanz was born January 14, 1884, in Glencoe and moved to Princeton in 1897. He was employed by the highway department of Minnesota and Miile Lacs County highway department.
Mrs. Balfanz survives with the following children; Mrs. Edwin Larson, Glendorado; Mrs. Ernest Ziebarth and Mrs. Clarence Warner, Princeton and two adopted daughters, Mrs. Willis Robideau, Elk River and Delores Balfanz.
There are 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
There are three brothers, Otto, Minneapolis; William, Rockford, Ill..; and Henry, California; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Henschel, Milaca and Mrs, Guy Broun, Spooner, Wiy. two half brothers, Stanley and Arthur Weidewitch, Princeton; and three half sisters, Mrs. Otto Burnett, St. Cloud; Mrs. Julia Emmy, Oregon and Mrs. Gladys Jensen, Omaha, Neb., who also survive.
