Mr. Philip Stone of Klondike passed away Friday, April 27, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel in Cooper. Rev. Rick Richardson will officiate with interment following in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday evening at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Stone was born April 16, 1927 in Delta County to Willis L. and Martha Mae Nowel Stone. He married Allie Cleo Hoskison on December 7, 1945. He had retired from the Texas Department of Transportaion.
Survivors are his wife Allie, Sons Glen and wife, Louise of Cooper, Mike of Cooper, and Roger and his wife Eva of Paris and daughter Sharon Jordan and husband Larry of Klondike and grandchidren Nery Bostick, Glenna Braley, Elizabeth Pinson, Grace Crabb, Waylon Jordan, Wesley Jordan, Weldon Jordan, Kristy Daniels, Roger Stone II, eight great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Newman Eric, Thomas, Roy, sisters Adie Stone, Mattie Allison, Minnie Martin, Nina Boss, Connie Worley, Mildred Bruce, Marzee White and Avanell Bratcher.
Pallbearers will be Willie Wilkins, Gene Foster, Daniel Foster, Wayne Foster, Brandon Helms, and Gary Hoskison.
