Philip Gordon Cheeseman, 77, of Nashua and Waltham, Mass., died Nov. 16, 2002, at Harborside Healthcare Center in Milford.

Mr. Cheeseman was born April 10, 1925, in Bradford, Maine, son of the Rev. Charles W. and Grace (Rideout) Cheeseman.

He was the widower of Sherlie (Babb) Cheeseman, who died Jan. 16, 1988.

Mr. Cheeseman had worked 10 years in the computer industry for Prime Computer Inc. until his retirement in 1991. Previously he had worked for Canada Dry Co. for 20 years.

He loved to read and watch television.

Mr. Cheeseman was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict. His decorations include the Army of Occupation Medal and the Korean Service Medal with three bronze service stars.

He was educated in Sabattus, Maine.

He was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Walter Smith, and a brother, Craig Hall Cheeseman.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah Mae and Michael Richard Arnold of Nashua, and Bonnie Lee Cheeseman of Venice, Calif.; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Roger and Eleanor Cheeseman of Webster, N.Y., and Jean Cheeseman of Sabattus; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Kenneth Berry of Georgia; five nieces, four nephews; and numerous cousins.

Following cremation, a Service of Remembrance was celebrated at Beth Eden Baptist Church, Waltham, Nov. 24. The Rev. Dr. Milton Boyle Jr. officiated. Burial was in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
