Wayne Tucker, age 71, of Nixa, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013. He was born August 5, 1941, in the Rocky Community near Winona, MO, the son of William Washington Tucker and Ava Viola (Norris) Tucker.
Before retirement Wayne was working in sound design and sales. He was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, keeping busy with his lawn and helping his church. Wayne loved life, his family and friends. He had a loving heart and the faith to keep fighting to live even through the toughest of times. He touched many with his caring, love, and Christian faith. He and Jackie Peirson were married January 8, 1994.
Survivors include: His wife, Jackie; three daughters, Tracey Fritz and Carl of Gerald, MO, Kimberly Tucker and Johnie Gall of Willow Springs, MO, and Alysa Raymond and Patrick of Grain Valley, MO; a step-son, Jeremy Peirson and Coralyn of Studio City, California; grandchildren, Leslie and Kevin, John and Andrea, Jami and Daniel, Wayne, Jimmy, Taylor, Sophia, Collin, Lauren, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Moriah, Olivia, Ella, Ava, Barrett, Alora, Evan, Kian, Tamrin, and Zailyn; five sisters, Erma Little, Lois Barkley, June Roberts, Sharon Davis and Judy Walker; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Loretta in 1992, his parents, and nine siblings.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 2, in Riverdale Baptist Church, 549 West Riverdale Road, Nixa, MO, with Pastor Jamie Bilyeu officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 PM Friday in Oak Grove Cemetery, Birch Tree, MO, with Pastor Forrest Goodman officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 8:00 PM Thursday in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
