Orval L. Snyder, 81, of Parkersburg, was dead on arrival at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital Friday morning.
Snyder was born April 30, 1897, at Creston, W.Va., a son of the late Clifford and Rosa Bennington Snyder. He was retired from Demuth Glass Co. in Parkersburg and was a member of the Briscoe Run Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Elizabeth Snyder; two sons, Loy A. of Parkersburg and Donald G. of Waukeshaw, Wis.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a son and a grandson.
Services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Pomroy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Garvin Walls, Jr., officiating. Burial was in the Snyder Cemetery at Creston.
