Jacob Eddy, a well known and highly respected citizen of Wayne township, died at his home at Brave, Sunday, January 16, at 2:30 o'clock. He was nearly 75 years of age. His death was due to pneumonia with which he was ill ten days. Mr. Eddy was a son of John and Elizabeth Eddy, deceased, and was born December 16, 1852, and spent his entire life in Wayne township. He engaged in farming and stock raising. He was united in marriage with Miss Melissa Mapel, who with the following children survives: J. W. Eddy, Pine Bank; L. T. Eddy, Fairmont, W. Va.; Mrs. J. W. Cummins, Brave; Mrs. Silas King, Waynesburg; S. O. Eddy, Brave; Miss Margaret Eddy, at home. He also leaves three brothers, J. I. Eddy and S. S. Eddy, of Brave, and Michael Eddy, of Waynesburg.
