SHOCKLEY, MARNA AUSBURN "DEE-DEE" Age 84, of Birmingham passed away May 12, 2012. Mrs. Shockley attended Ramsay High School. She enjoyed raising her children and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite pastimes were being Nonnie to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Atlanta Braves Baseball and Auburn Athletics. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Ira Douglas Shockley; her parents Shirley Augusta Callaham & Gaines Dalton Ausburn; and her grandson, Stephen Christopher Lucas. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Dalton Ausburn and children, Laura Burrus Lucas (John), William Edward Burrus III (Christi), David Timothy Burrus (Sherry) and Daniel Wayne Burrus (Cece) and grandchildren, Leah Burrus, Maretta Ashford (David), Adam Burrus (Becky), Catherine Agricola (Taylor), Samantha Pate (Eric), Allison Leaver (Ben), Blake Scozzaro (Giovanna), Jonathan Burrus, Tyler Burrus, Ryan Burrus, Abby Lucas, Stephanie Burrus and Caitlyn Burrus and 9 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to your favorite charity. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 5:00-7:00pm with rosary starting at 7:00pm at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Reverend Bill Lucas at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 11:00 am with internment following at Elmwood Cemetery.
