Professional Football Player. An outstanding high school and college halfback, he for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1941. After the December 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor, he quit football and joined the Army. He was killed in action in France on November 11, 1944 when the tank he was commanding was hit by a german shell.
