Miss Josephine D. Jefferson, sixty-two years old, daughter of the late Joseph Jefferson, the actor, died last night at her residence, 73 Valley Road, Montclair, N.J. She had been ill since February. Miss Jefferson had made her home at Montclair for the last five years. She is survived by her sister, Mrs Margaret Farjeon, of London, wife of the late B.L. Farjeon, the novelist, and three brothers, Thomas Jefferson, of California; William Jefferson, of this city, and Frank Jefferson. Her other brother, Joseph Jefferson jr., died two years ago last May. Her father died in Florida in 1905 at the age of seventy-six. The funeral service will be held at the residence to-morrow. Interment will be at Sandwich, Mass. (New-York Tribune, 20 Jul 1921, p11)
