Art was a retired employee of Weirton Steel, Weirton, WV. He was a member of Council of Senior Tyler Countians. He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, Toronto, OH and a member of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite at Lodge Council Chapter Consistory in the Valley of Steubenville. Art was a member of the Middlebourne United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; Arthur ( Pete ), Oral, Gayle and Charles Haught. A sister Pearl Smith.
Art is survived by his wife Margaret Baeslack Haught. A son Howard Haught, Lynchburg, VA. Three daughters; Veronica ( Sue ) Haught, , Barbara ( John ) Dibler all of Toronto, OH and Patricia ( Tommy ) Wilhoite, Jacksonville, FL. A step son David Haymond, Santa Barbara, CA. Three sisters; Ida Trolan, Baltimore, MD, Ona Robertson, Irvine, TX and Isabelle Kannan, New Matamores, OH. Nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm Monday. A grave side service will be held Tuesday 1:00 pm at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, OH.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Council of Senior Tyler Countians, 504 Cherry Street, Middlebourne WV 26149 or Journey Hospice, 314 S Wells Street, Sistersville, WV 26175.
