Elizabeth Jane Woodruff was the daughter of Edward Woodruff (born 3 July 1793 in Tinmouth, Rutland, Vermont - died 30 Apr 1857 in Fort Ann, Washington, New York) and Betsey Conant (born 2 May 1793 in Wallingford, Rutland, Vermont - died 7 Jan 1852 in Tinmouth, Rutland, Vermont). She was attending boarding school in the 1850 census, and played piano. She married Lewis Samuel Partridge in 1856, and together they had 8 children. Following her husband's death in 1886, the family moved to Manchester, New Hampshire. She died there on 14 October 1917.
