She is survived by her children, Kathy Sue (William) Withem, of Newark, Penny Jean (Edwin) Brooks, of Byesville, Verna May (David) Jewel, of Zanesville, Elizabeth (Tracy) Richards, of Columbus, and Bernard Lee Brooks, of Johnstown; sisters, Grace L. (Edwin) Webb, of London, and Linda M. Johnson, of Hebron; brother, Dewey D. (Ruth) Meade, of Woodsfield; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald E. Nelson, in 1993; children, Lloyd Brooks and Karen Brooks; sister, Kathryn Howard; and brother, Raymond Meade.
