News has been received in Emporia of the death Sunday evening in Garnett of Thomas Baxter, formerly of Emporia. Mr. Baxter was a Garnett merchant.
The body will be brought to Emporia Thursday noon and will be taken to the grave in Maplewood cemetery. Funeral services were held in Garnett.
Mr. Baxter was a brother of L. W. Baxter and Mrs. Eva Folsom, who formerly lived in Emporia.
