Annie Louise Wells Maxwell

Annie Louise Wells Maxwell was born in Beech Bluff, TN on June 29, 1920. She entered Heaven's gates on June 18, 2012.

A consummate mother and homemaker, Louise was an excellent cook, and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She was also an avid gardener and was also a sports fan, and enjoyed attending and watching on TV basketball.

Louise had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Over the years, she had become very involved with the church and assisted with numerous events.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years, Harold Maxwell; her daughters, Vickie Richardson and her husband Bill, Gwen Schremser and her husband Paul, and her son-in-law, Marlin Adams. She is also survived by her brothers, A. D. Wells. She had three grandchildren, Lisa DiVito Sarmento and her husband Brian, Maxwell McFarland and his partner Andrea Rameriz, and Samantha Schremser. She also had two great-grandchildren, Michael Sarmento and Nina McFarland.

She was predeceased by her parents, Bertha and Robert Wells; her daughter, Diane Adams; her son, Harold Maxwell, Jr., as well as her three brothers, Ray Wells, Clifford Wells and Bobby Wells; her sisters, Millie Alexander, Marie Maxwell and Nell Butler.

The family gives everyone who cared for Louise their greatest gratitude, especially to Home Health, Hospice and her niece, Martha Lou Lewis.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 5-8 p.m., at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the following day on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11 a.m., at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2838 Paul Coffman Drive, Jackson, TN 38301. Graveside service at Browns Cemetery to follow immediately.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you make a donation to the American Cancer Society or to Hillcrest Baptist Church.
