Lenora J. Baldwin, 81, of Gloversville, N.Y., passed away on May 28, 2012, at her home.
She was born September 9, 1930, in Amsterdam, N.Y., the daughter of Roy and Margaret Glenn Steele.
She grew up in Broadalbin, N.Y., where she graduated from high school in 1948.
From 1948-1950, she was employed at the Finocan Bros. Furniture store and from 1950-1956 at the Upstate Telephone Co. From 1976 until her retirement in 1994 she was employed at Nelson A. Taylor Inc.
Mrs. Baldwin was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gloversville where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She was also active in Brownies, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, PTA's Central Council, past president of Park Terrace and Gloversville High School PTA and received the Life Membership Award for these organizations. She served as treasurer for the Gloversville Council of Churches. She was also a member of the Ida McGinnis Senior Citizens, Broadalbin Seniors and the Johnstown Senior Citizens Club.
Mrs. Baldwin was united in marriage to George Baldwin in 1949 and he passed away in 1978.
Friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held at Union Mills Cemetery, Broadalbin.
