Scottish Monarch. She was the queen consort of James V, King of Scots, and the daughter of King Francis I of France and Claude of Valois, daughter of Louis XII. She married James on January 1, 1537 at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. The young princess suffered from tuberculosis, and died in her husband's arms only 7 months after her arrival in Scotland. She was 17 years old.
